Political career:
- March 2010: leading candidate of FN for the regional election in Normandy. Elected as Regional Councillor since.
- September 2012: Deputy Secretary General of FN.
- November 2012: Prominent support of the anti-gay marriage movement in France.
- April-May 2014: Head of Marine Le Pen’s campaign for EU elections. Elected MEP.
- November 2014: Secretary General of FN.
- June 2017: Co-president of the Europe of Nations and Freedom group.
- June 2019: Re-elected as MEP. Elected Vice-president of the Identity and Democracy group.
- February 2022: joined Éric Zemmour’s conservative presidential campaign and named Vice-President of Reconquête ! party.
- June 2024: Re-elected as MEP for a third term. Member of the European Conservatives and Reformists group, together with Marion Maréchal.
Nicolas Bay is a French conservative and Christian patriot, husband and father of three. In the European Parliament, Nicolas Bay seats in the Civil liberties committee and got particularly involved in files concerning EU’s external border control, freedom of speech, immigration policies such as the EU asylum system, and monitoring the so-called Rule of law infringement procedures against Poland and Hungary.
