An associate professor of theology at the Faculty of Theology of Ukrainian Catholic University in L’viv, Ukraine. He holds a PhD in historical theology from the Catholic University of America. His main areas of research are church history, patristic theology, Byzantine studies, Catholic Social Thought, and ecumenism. Ordained to the presbyterate in the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, a sui juris Eastern Church in full communion with the Church of Rome, Oleh is married to Ivanka and has four children. His Fulbright-awarded proposal is “The Foundation Making of an Environmental Anthropology: Human Dignity and Environmental Awareness in Late Antiquity and the Early Byzantine Empire”.
